Learning & Development Manager | Kanji Group

Kanji Group is seeking an experienced and strategic Learning & Development Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of impactful learning initiatives across our national business portfolio.

This is a key leadership role responsible for uplifting organisational capability, driving learning strategy, and embedding a strong culture of continuous development across diverse operational and corporate environments.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will partner closely with leaders across the business to build practical, scalable, and engaging learning solutions that support business growth and performance.

About the Role

As the Learning & Development Manager, you will lead the development and execution of Group wide learning and capability programs across multiple businesses and brands within the Group.

You will take ownership of the Group Learning Management System (LMS), Go1, overseeing the administration, development, and continuous improvement of tailored online training programs, including but not limited to safety, compliance, and induction training. You will actively drive optimisation of the system by streamlining content delivery, maintaining training records, and ensuring alignment with organisational requirements.

This role is based in Sydney CBD and operates nationally across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Group’s learning and development strategy aligned to business objectives
  • Design and deliver engaging learning programs across leadership, operational, compliance, and professional development
  • Lead the digitalisation of training content including eLearning, virtual learning, facilitator guides, and blended learning solutions
  • Manage and optimise the GO1 learning platform and serve as the key point of contact for LMS-related matters
  • Conduct training needs analysis and identify capability gaps across the organisation
  • Develop competency frameworks and training matrices across operational and corporate roles
  • Partner with leaders to support workforce capability, engagement, and performance outcomes
  • Coordinate internal and external training resources to support specialist learning requirements
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development across the Group
  • Measure and evaluate learning effectiveness through reporting, feedback, and performance metrics
  • Lead learning projects within agreed timelines and business priorities

About You

  • Degree qualified in Education, Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
  • 8+ years’ experience in senior Learning & Development roles
  • Strong experience delivering learning strategies within manufacturing, industrial, or blue-collar environments
  • Proven experience in regulatory and compliance-focused training environments
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and blended learning methodologies
  • Experience managing Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning platforms
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Highly organised with strong project management capability
  • Practical, hands-on, and solutions-focused approach
