Learning & Development Lead

📍 New Plymouth, Tauranga or Wellington

🕐 Permanent - Full-time

Are you passionate about building workforce and leadership capability that makes a real difference? We’re looking for a Learning & Development Lead to shape and strengthen enterprise learning across Powerco. In this role, you’ll design and govern practical, role-based learning systems that build capability aligned to strategic priorities, regulatory obligations and operational needs. You’ll help embed learning into day-to-day work so it delivers measurable improvements in performance, safety and leadership effectiveness.

About the role

  • Build and maintain a role-based learning and capability framework aligned to Powerco’s strategic priorities and safety-critical roles.
  • Create practical learning pathways for frontline, technical, leadership and critical roles.
  • Partner with business units to align enterprise learning standards with technical training delivered in the business.
  • Own learning systems, quality assurance, evaluation and reporting to ensure consistency and measurable impact.
  • Support leadership development initiatives that strengthen people leadership, safety leadership and change capability.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience developing and implementing enterprise learning strategies, frameworks and programmes.
  • A strong track record of designing learning that lifts capability, performance and engagement.
  • Confidence working with digital learning systems, tools and reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to partner across a broad organisation.
  • Experience evaluating learning effectiveness and using insights to improve outcomes.
  • A practical, collaborative approach and a passion for enabling others to grow and succeed.
