This full-time position is based in the Firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina office. You’ll also have opportunities for occasional day trips, overnight travel, and overtime to support development programs and firm-sponsored training initiatives across Parker Poe offices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Learning & Professional Development Programs

  • Manage the details that make programs run smoothly, from invitations, registration, attendance, materials, rooms, catering, and virtual technology to speaker and vendor coordination.
  • Communicate clearly with participants, presenters, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare program materials, resource guides, communications, and post-program evaluations.
  • Track feedback, attendance, and learning metrics to help improve future programs.
  • Explore emerging learning technologies, including AI tools, to make training more engaging, efficient, and accessible.

CLE Administration and Compliance

  • Serve as the go-to coordinator for CLE programs, including accreditation applications, attendance tracking, certificates, compliance documentation, and credit reporting.
  • Respond to CLE questions and help attorneys navigate requirements, reporting processes, and compliance deadlines.
  • Monitor CLE rule changes, assist with accreditation renewals, and support audits and required reporting.

Learning Systems, Communications, and Reporting

  • Keep the Firm’s intranet, learning platforms, resource materials, development web pages, and training calendars up to date.
  • Maintain records, budgets, rosters, policies, procedures, and program resources.
  • Create reports, presentations, dashboards, and analytics that show participation, compliance, program impact, and learning outcomes.
  • Monitor departmental inboxes, route questions, and provide timely, professional support.
  • Process invoices, reimbursements, and vendor-related expenses.

Collaboration and Special Projects

  • Partner with teammates in Talent and across the Firm on projects that strengthen professional growth, engagement, retention, and the employee experience.
  • Research professional development trends, learning technologies, and best practices that can bring fresh ideas to our programs.
  • Model Parker Poe’s values through collaboration, inclusion, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as back-up for other Talent team coordinators when needed.
  • Take on other projects and responsibilities as assigned that support the team and Firm priorities.

Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in learning and development, training coordination, or a related field, plus a bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a law firm, professional services organization, higher education institution, bar association, or training-focused environment is a plus.
  • Experience supporting CLE programs, accreditation, or compliance processes is preferred.
  • Strong organization, project management, and follow-through, with a sharp eye for details.
  • Ability to juggle priorities, deadlines, and moving pieces in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear, polished communication skills and a service mindset that creates a positive experience for participants and stakeholders.
  • Confidence building relationships with attorneys, business professionals, vendors, and firm leadership.
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion when working with sensitive or confidential information.
  • Analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams and Adobe.
  • Experience with learning management systems, event registration platforms, or database systems is preferred. Familiarity with graphic design platforms a plus.
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI, and enthusiasm for using new tools to improve learning experiences and operations.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime and support programs outside normal business hours, including periodic travel to other locations.

You’ll thrive in this role if you love bringing order to the details, creating helpful experiences for others, and seeing your work make a real impact. The right person is energized by collaboration, comfortable keeping multiple projects moving, and genuinely interested in helping people learn, connect, and grow.

  • You’re proactive, dependable, and great at turning plans into polished programs.
