About the Role

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity to play a key role in the administration, planning, and coordination of technical, compliance, and development training across the Stanlow site and associated businesses. Working closely with the Learning & Development team and operational stakeholders, you will ensure learning activities are effectively planned, scheduled, delivered, and monitored to meet business and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and administering training programmes across all business areas, including off-the-job training, e-learning, technical development, mandatory compliance training, and refresher courses.
  • Planning and scheduling regular and ad hoc training activities, ensuring training provision aligns with operational priorities and workforce development needs.
  • Acting as the super user for the Learning Management System (LMS)/training CRM, maintaining accurate training records, reporting data, and ensuring system compliance and data integrity.
  • Analysing training data, completion rates, competency requirements, and compliance metrics to support workforce planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Managing relationships with external training providers, coordinating course bookings, onsite delivery, and associated administration.
  • Supporting apprentices, graduates, work experience placements, and wider early careers programmes through effective coordination and record management.
  • Monitoring training budgets, supplier spend, training effectiveness, and participation trends, providing regular management information and reporting.
  • Working closely with managers and business stakeholders to identify training needs, coordinate learning solutions, and support competency assurance across the organisation.
  • Supporting governance, compliance, and audit requirements by maintaining robust training processes, documentation, and reporting frameworks.

This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on workforce capability by ensuring training and development activities are effectively coordinated, accurately recorded, and strategically aligned with business objectives, while supporting a busy operational environment and driving continuous improvement in learning and development practices.

About You

You are an organised Learning & Development professional who enjoys translating business training requirements into practical, measurable learning solutions. You will bring:

  • Experience coordinating training delivery and working closely with external training providers.
  • Strong administration, planning, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and changing business requirements.
  • Experience using and maintaining Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training records, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
  • The ability to analyse learner data, training completion rates, competency requirements, and performance metrics to identify skills gaps, workforce development needs, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience producing training reports and management information to support learning plans, compliance monitoring, and succession planning activities.
  • Confident communication skills and the credibility to work with managers, subject matter experts, and training partners to develop effective learning solutions.
  • A Level 3 or Level 5 qualification in Learning & Development, HR, or a related discipline.
