Learning & Development (L&D) sets the strategic direction for learning solutions that build workforce capability and support TD’s business priorities. Learning Technology Optimization (LTO) enables a modern, data-driven, learner-centric learning ecosystem through technology, analytics, governance, and innovation.
About the Role
The Learning Technology & Analytics Specialist supports the optimization, modernization, and governance of TD’s learning technology ecosystem. This role combines learning technology expertise, analytics, business analysis, and emerging technology awareness to improve platform performance, learner experience, reporting insights, and operational effectiveness.
The Specialist partners across L&D, Technology, Data & Analytics, Risk, Privacy, Accessibility, and vendor teams to translate business needs into practical solutions that deliver measurable value.
What You’ll Do
Optimize Learning Technology Platforms
Contribute to the continuous improvement of enterprise learning platforms, tools, and related capabilities.
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for platform enhancements, releases, and technology initiatives.
Assess platform performance, adoption, user experience, and utilization trends to identify improvement opportunities.
Evaluate new functionality and provide recommendations that support learner, business, and operational needs.
Coordinate testing, release readiness, deployment support, and change activities.
Provide subject matter expertise to support learning technology strategy and roadmap development.
Deliver Learning Analytics and Workforce Insights
Develop learning analytics, dashboards, reports, and insights that support business decision-making.
Translate business questions into measurable learning, adoption, capability, and effectiveness metrics.
Analyze learner behaviour, engagement, platform utilization, and learning effectiveness data.
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis and visualization.
Contribute to learning measurement frameworks and skills intelligence reporting initiatives.
Support Transformation and Business Analysis
Provide subject matter expertise to support learning technology strategy, roadmap development, and future-state planning.
Conduct research and analysis to assess current capabilities, gaps, and opportunities for modernization.
Develop recommendations, business case inputs, and leadership materials that support investment and prioritization decisions.
Participate in enterprise learning technology transformation initiatives, including stakeholder engagement and change support.
Strengthen Governance and Operational Excellence
Support governance, controls, standards, and operational processes related to learning technologies and data.
Maintain clear documentation, knowledge assets, procedures, and operational guidance.
Partner with Risk, Compliance, Privacy, Accessibility, and Technology teams to support platform governance and audit readiness.
Monitor platform health, operational issues, vendor performance, and service improvement opportunities.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that improve consistency, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
Explore AI and Emerging Learning Technologies
Monitor trends in learning technology, workforce technology, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
Evaluate emerging capabilities and identify practical opportunities to improve learner experience and operational effectiveness.
Support pilots, proofs of concept, and experimentation initiatives, including success measures and adoption considerations.
Contribute to the responsible evaluation and adoption of innovation opportunities across the learning ecosystem.
What You’ll Bring
5+ years of progressive experience in learning technology, HR technology, analytics, business analysis, digital product support, consulting, or enterprise platform optimization.
Experience supporting, implementing, optimizing, or governing enterprise technology platforms or business solutions.
Knowledge of learning management systems, learning experience platforms, virtual learning technologies, or broader learning ecosystems.
Strong analytical skills, including experience developing reports, dashboards, insights, or measurement frameworks.
Ability to gather requirements, assess business needs, analyze complex information, and translate findings into practical recommendations.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and consulting skills.
Understanding of governance, risk, privacy, accessibility, and operational controls related to enterprise technology solutions.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Preferred Assets
Experience with Workday Learning, SumTotal, Degreed, Cornerstone, SuccessFactors, or similar learning platforms.
Experience with Power BI, Excel, Tableau, SQL, or other reporting and data visualization tools.
Exposure to AI-enabled learning solutions, automation, skills intelligence platforms, or emerging workforce technologies.
Familiarity with agile delivery, product management, release management, or platform roadmap practices.
Experience contributing to large-scale transformation initiatives or cross-functional enterprise programs.
Education and Certifications
Undergraduate degree, college diploma, or equivalent experience in Business, Technology, Analytics, Education, Human Resources, Information Management, or a related discipline.
