The Learning and Outreach Coordinator reports to the Chief Learning Officer and will be a part of the Executive Ethics Commission's administrative office. The Executive Ethics Commission (EEC) is the State's independent body responsible for promoting ethical conduct among executive branch employees and officials, ensuring integrity, accountability, and fairness in State government. Established in 2004 under the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act (Ethics Act), the EEC oversees ethics compliance for State agencies, boards and commissions, public institutions for higher education, and regional transit authorities.
Under the direction of the Chief Learning Officer, this position is responsible for the learning and outreach efforts, increasing agency training capacity, and building strategic partnerships. The Learning and Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for designing, developing, coordinating, and conducting training programs and is responsible for communicating these efforts across internal and external entities to accomplish the EEC's training, outreach, and engagement goals.
The Learning and Outreach Coordinator is required to keep updated on new areas of ethics laws and incorporate those changes into yearly trainings, as well as coordinating compliance projects, conducting outreach, and developing training initiatives for internal and external entities.

This position is eligible to be a member of the State of Illinois Group Insurance program which includes health, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage options. Additionally, this position will annually accrue the following paid leave benefits, prorated based on start date: 12 paid sick days, a minimum 10 paid vacation days, 6 personal days, and be afforded 13 state holidays.
