About the Position


The LIFT Manager is a field-based leader who partners closely with field and operations teams to ensure effective learning execution and consistent application of Injury-Free (IF) principles across job sites. This role maintains a strong field presence and plays a hands-on role in coaching, problem-solving, and reinforcing safe, compliant, and effective work practices. As a trusted advisor to field leaders, the LIFT Manager supports workforce development, safety compliance, and the practical, consistent execution of learning and IF programs across projects.

How You’ll Make a Difference

Field Engagement & Operational Partnership

  • Maintain a presence on job sites working alongside field teams.
  • Partner with supervisors, project managers, and SME’s to integrate learning and safety into daily work.
  • Serve as a trusted safety and learning resource for the field.
  • Identify gaps between program intent and field execution and provide solutions.

Learning Execution & Training Support

  • Support delivery and coordination of training programs aligned with project needs.
  • Ensure training schedules align with field availability and operations.
  • Support onboarding, refresher training, and recertification.
  • Provide feedback on training effectiveness.

Injury-Free (IF) Program Implementation

  • Continuously review the IF program to ensure up to date, accurate and effective content.
  • Reinforce IF principles through coaching and field observations.
  • Promote hazard identification and near-miss reporting.
  • Support consistent application of safety standards.
  • Model safe behaviors and accountability.

Hazard Identification & Risk Mitigation

  • Support job hazard analyses and risk assessments.
  • Assist with mitigation of identified hazards.
  • Support execution of Lift Plans, EEW Plans, and Traffic Control Plans.

Regulatory & Compliance Support

  • Support OSHA, DOT, and regulatory compliance.
  • Reinforce documentation and procedural workflows.

Incident Response & Investigation Support

  • Assist with incident and near-miss investigations.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action tracking.
  • Participate in emergency response activities and drills.

Audits, Observations & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in audits and field observations.
  • Identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to senior leadership.

Equipment & Technical Support

  • Support calibration and use of safety equipment.
  • Provide feedback on new equipment effectiveness.

Systems & Documentation

  • Utilize LMS, Vista, Lattice, and Smartsheet for program documentation.
  • Ensure timely completion of records and reports.

Communication & Relationship Building

  • Communicate expectations clearly to the field.
  • Build trust through consistency, respect, and responsiveness.
  • Translate feedback into action.

Smarts, Skills. And Physical Requirements

Qualifications

  • Field-based experience in construction, safety, or learning roles.
  • Strong understanding of job site risks and controls.
  • Ability to influence and coach without authority.
  • Strong communication and observational skills.
