Job Description

As an L&D Executive you will assist in daily L&D operations and work with team members to demonstrate your abilities and gain knowledge in the hospitality industry. Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

  • Coordinate Learning & Development activities: Support the L&D Manager in planning and coordinating training initiatives across hotel operational and administrative departments.
  • Organize training programs: Schedule, administer, and coordinate training programs, workshops, orientations, and development initiatives.
  • Deliver engaging training: Conduct and facilitate brand, behavioral, service excellence, and technical competency training programs for team members.
  • Support team member development: Assist with structured learning plans, career development initiatives, succession planning, and continuous learning opportunities.
  • Maintain the training calendar: Manage and update the hotel’s training calendar, ensuring all mandatory and developmental programs are delivered on time.
  • Monitor training compliance: Track attendance, completion rates, mandatory training requirements, and overall learning compliance.
  • Maintain accurate training records: Ensure training records, competency matrices, learning management systems, and talent development databases are accurate and up to date.
  • Identify learning needs: Work closely with department leaders to identify training needs, competency gaps, and opportunities for team member development.
  • Measure training effectiveness: Collect feedback and analyze assessments, performance indicators, and other data to evaluate the impact of learning initiatives.
  • Ensure mandatory training completion: Follow up with departments and team members to ensure statutory, compliance, brand, and company-required training is completed within established timelines.
  • Prepare learning materials: Develop, update, and maintain training presentations, facilitator guides, learning resources, and other L&D materials.
  • Coordinate training logistics: Arrange training venues, resources, registrations, schedules, equipment, and other requirements to ensure seamless delivery of learning activities.
  • Support L&D administration: Manage training-related documentation, invoices, payments, expenses, and other administrative processes in line with company procedures.
  • Monitor development progress: Track team member progress across development programs, competency frameworks, succession planning, and talent management initiatives.
  • Support engagement initiatives: Contribute to team member engagement, recognition, culture-building, and employee experience initiatives that reinforce the hotel’s learning and development culture.
  • Prepare L&D reports: Generate regular reports on training participation, compliance, competency development, learning effectiveness, and talent development outcomes.
  • Collaborate across departments: Partner with operational and administrative leaders to identify capability-building opportunities and recommend effective learning solutions.
  • Support continuous improvement: Participate in reviewing and improving L&D processes, programs, and learning experiences to enhance organizational performance.
  • Ensure alignment with standards: Ensure all learning and development initiatives align with company objectives, brand standards, competency frameworks, and the hotel’s commitment to exceptional guest experiences.

The following capabilities and qualifications would be advantageous:

  • Highly organized with strong communication, coordination, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hotel environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with LMS and digital learning platforms.
  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality, Human Resources, Business, Tourism, or a related field.
  • Previous L&D experience in an upscale hotel environment preferred.
  • Experience in delivering and facilitating training programs.
  • Train-the-Trainer certification is an advantage.
  • Internal Hilton applicants with relevant L&D experience will be given preference.
