Job Title: Ergonomics Specialist / Lean Support Specialist

Department: Industrial Engineering

Location: ST Bouskoura

Reporting to: Industrial Engineering Manager

ROLE:

We are seeking a highly motivated Ergonomics Specialist to support the design, improvement, and optimization of workplace conditions with a strong focus on employee ergonomics, safety, productivity, and Lean manufacturing principles
The successful candidate will assess workstations and processes, identify ergonomic risks, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste, improving flow, and enhancing operational performance.

Key Responsibilities Ergonomics Responsibilities

  • Conduct ergonomic assessments of workstations, tools, and tasks.
  • Identify and analyze ergonomic risks related to repetitive work, posture, force, and manual handling.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions to improve employee comfort, safety, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production, safety, engineering, and HR teams to support ergonomic improvements.
  • Participate in workplace design reviews for new processes, equipment, or production lines.
  • Develop and maintain ergonomic standards, tools, and reporting methods.
  • Support training and awareness sessions on ergonomics and safe work practices.

Lean / Continuous Improvement Responsibilities

  • Support Lean manufacturing initiatives such as waste reduction, standard work, 5S, Kaizen, and value stream improvement.
  • Participate in process analysis to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to optimize layout, material flow, and workstation design.
  • Contribute to problem-solving activities using Lean tools and methodologies.
  • Help implement sustainable improvements to increase productivity, quality, and operational stability.
  • Prepare reports, KPIs, and recommendations related to improvement projects.

PROFILE :

  • Engineer / Master Degree in Industrial Engineering, Ergonomics, or Occupational Health and Safety
  • Proven experience in ergonomics, industrial engineering and continuous improvement.
  • Good knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
  • Ability to conduct workplace assessments and propose practical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of ergonomics assessment methods and risk evaluation tools.
  • Familiarity with Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, VSM, standard work, and problem-solving techniques
  • Project management skills.
  • Experience in training or coaching employees and supervisors.
