As a Black Belt II, you will lead and execute Lean Six Sigma projects and help build a culture of continuous improvement across the health system. You’ll mentor Green and Yellow Belts, develop training programs, and collaborate with leaders to turn data into action and strategy into measurable outcomes.
Lead Lean and Six Sigma projects using DMAIC, A3, and Change Acceleration Process
Define project scope, collect data, perform root-cause analysis, and implement solutions
Mentor and coach Green, Yellow, and White Belt project leaders
Develop and deliver engaging Lean Six Sigma training programs
Partner with departments as an internal performance improvement consultant
Identify inefficiencies and implement sustainable process improvements
Translate project successes into scalable, system-wide strategies
Ensure compliance with internal standards and HIPAA requirements
Education & Experience
Master’s degree or Bachelor's in engineering degree (required)
Minimum of 4 years of relevant process improvement experience
Licensure & Certifications
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from a recognized program (required)
Skills & Competencies
Proven leadership and facilitation skills with the ability to influence at all levels
Advanced data analysis expertise (Minitab preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Strong knowledge of statistics (ANOVA, correlation, sampling, reliability analysis)
Skilled in process mapping, dashboards, and report development
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a complex healthcare environment
