The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Lean Manager to join our European Operational Excellence team and play a key role in improving the performance of our operations across multiple countries.

This is not a traditional Lean role focused on facilitation or process documentation. It is a hands-on operational position where your success is measured by the improvements you deliver. You will work directly with operational teams, identify opportunities, lead improvement initiatives, and implement practical solutions that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve operational performance.

Working across Europe, you will partner closely with country leadership teams to solve operational challenges in complex, people-intensive environments. You will spend significant time on site, engaging with local teams, understanding operational realities, and ensuring improvements become embedded in day-to-day operations.

This role also offers an exceptional opportunity for professional growth. You will work alongside experienced Operational Excellence leaders, gain exposure to a wide variety of operational environments across Europe, and further develop your expertise by leading real transformation initiatives. For ambitious Lean professionals looking to broaden their international experience, this is a unique opportunity to accelerate your career beyond a traditional site-based improvement role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Lean and Operational Excellence initiatives across multiple European countries, delivering measurable improvements in productivity, labour efficiency, operational performance, and cost competitiveness.
  • Identify, prioritise, and execute high-impact improvement projects that eliminate waste, optimise processes, and deliver sustainable operational results.
  • Partner closely with country operations leaders to challenge existing processes, implement standard ways of working, and strengthen operational discipline.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping workshops, and structured problem-solving sessions to improve performance across diverse operational environments.
  • Analyse operational and financial performance data to identify opportunities, prioritise initiatives, and measure business impact.
  • Lead Integrated Deck Building workshops to identify cost-saving opportunities and develop structured improvement roadmaps.
  • Coach operational teams in Lean methodologies, structured problem solving, and continuous improvement, helping build long-term capability across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with Brink's Business System and Global Operational Excellence teams to deploy best practices and support operational transformation throughout Europe.

What We Are Looking For

  • Significant experience in Lean, Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, or Operations within complex, multi-site operational environments.
  • A proven track record of delivering measurable productivity improvements, operational efficiencies, and sustainable cost reductions through practical implementation.
  • Experience within automotive suppliers, aerospace, industrial manufacturing, mechanical or electrical engineering, hydraulics, warehousing, fulfilment, or last-mile logistics.
  • Strong hands-on experience applying Lean methodologies, including Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, and structured problem solving.
  • A pragmatic, operational mindset with the ability to work directly alongside site leadership and frontline teams to implement change.
  • Strong analytical capability, using operational and financial data to identify improvement opportunities and monitor business performance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence leaders and operational teams across multiple countries.
  • Highly organised, self-driven, and comfortable managing multiple improvement initiatives in a dynamic international environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is considered an advantage.
  • Lean certification is beneficial, although extensive hands-on implementation experience is considered significantly more valuable.

Additional Requirements

  • Based in one of our European Brink's locations, including Belgium, Czechia, the Netherlands, Romania, or another relevant European location.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Europe, typically exceeding 50% of your working time.
  • Fluent English is required. Additional European languages are considered an advantage.
  • Comfortable working across multiple countries, cultures, and operational environments in a fast-paced international organisation.
