About the opportunity
EvolveTalent® is supporting a global manufacturing and technology organisation in the search for a Lean / Continuous Improvement Specialist to join its Business Services organisation in Budapest.
The position is part of the Electrical EMEA Commercial Operations team and plays an important role in embedding and strengthening a culture of Continuous Improvement and Lean across the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Continuous Improvement, Lean, Quality or Operational Excellence professional who would like to apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies within an international and cross-functional business environment.
You will support the deployment of the Continuous Improvement vision and strategy across EMEA, contribute to Lean and Six Sigma implementation, and lead improvement initiatives involving different functions and stakeholder groups.
The role is not limited exclusively to Lean or Six Sigma projects. You may also lead broader cross-functional initiatives that contribute to operational performance, process quality and sustainable business improvement.
Your responsibilities
Your profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Quality Management, Information Systems, Supply Chain or another relevant discipline.
• At least three years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
Continuous Improvement
Lean or Lean Six Sigma
Operational Excellence
Quality or Quality Systems
Process Improvement
Business Process Management
Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
• Candidates with approximately two years of experience may also be considered when their background is particularly relevant and includes meaningful ownership of Lean or Continuous Improvement activities.
• Practical experience applying Lean, Six Sigma or structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience coordinating or contributing to cross-functional improvement projects.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, combined with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to translate data, process observations and business challenges into practical improvement solutions.
• Confidence communicating with diverse stakeholders and influencing teams without direct authority.
• Strong organisational, project coordination and stakeholder-management skills.
• A collaborative mindset, adaptability to change and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Visio, Minitab or comparable process and statistical tools would be advantageous.
Preferred experience
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt or another recognised Continuous Improvement qualification.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies such as:
Kaizen
Value Stream Mapping
5S
Standard Work
Root-Cause Analysis
5 Whys
Ishikawa Diagrams
Process Mapping
Rapid Improvement Events
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial organisation.
• Experience gained in electrical, electronics, automotive, engineering, food and beverage, consumer goods or another production-related industry would be particularly relevant.
• Experience within a business centre or shared service centre belonging to a manufacturing organisation is also highly suitable.
• Exposure to Commercial Operations, Business Services, Supply Chain, Product Engineering, Customer Operations or other cross-functional business processes would be an advantage.
• Experience working within a multinational and cross-cultural environment.
