We are currently looking for a Lead/Sr. Engineer System Planning for our Houston, TX office.

This position uses pipeline simulation tools to design incremental facilities for Boardwalk Pipelines’ growth initiatives and provides regional insights into market alternatives. This role works closely with Business Development to evaluate growth concepts and integrate market knowledge into commercial strategy, growth planning and decision making. The use of data analytics, market intelligence and hydraulic expertise to evaluate pipeline capacity and expansion solutions are key to this role. This individual also interacts heavily with Engineering teams to develop and review cost estimates for incremental facilities, as well as provides support for FERC filings associated with new facilities and evaluates firm capacity requests.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• System Planning experience including pipeline simulation expertise
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills to interact cross-functionally
• Good interpersonal skills to work in team environment

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• 5 or more years of engineering experience, including energy industry
• Data analytics and data science aptitude
• Computer/hydraulic modeling experience including Gregg Engineering and/or DNV Synergi

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or comparable technical field
