Lead/Senior Brand Designer

We are looking for a next-generation Brand Designer who combines exceptional visual craft with AI-native creative thinking.
As part of NIO Inc's Global Brand Strategy & Experience team, you will help define how brand systems, design guidelines and AI-powered creative workflows shape the future of our global brand experience for NIO and firefly. Working closely with our Munich Design HQ and cross-functional teams in Shanghai, you will contribute to creating a consistent, distinctive and premium NIO brand across all customer touchpoints and international markets.
This role is ideal for a designer who is passionate about visual excellence, embraces emerging technologies as part of the creative process, and enjoys working in a highly international and collaborative environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Support the development and evolution of NIO Inc's global brand identity and visual language.
- Create, maintain and scale global brand guidelines, toolkits, templates and design systems.
- Design compelling visual assets across digital, physical and experiential brand touchpoints.
- Ensure brand consistency across marketing, communication, retail, events and product-related applications.
- Collaborate closely with Brand Strategy, Marketing, Product Design, Digital and local market teams.
- Translate strategic concepts into clear, visually compelling narratives and presentations.
- Contribute to the development of AI-powered creative workflows and best practices within the team.
- Explore new technologies, trends and tools that elevate efficiency, creativity and brand impact.
- Support creative workshops, brand education initiatives and cross-functional design projects.
职位要求
- 5–7 years of professional experience in Brand Design, Visual Design, Communication Design or a related discipline.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in brand identity, design systems and visual storytelling.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong working knowledge of Figma.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining brand guidelines and scalable design systems.
- Deep understanding of AI-powered creative workflows and prompting methodologies. Hands-on experience with tools such is required.
- Ability to integrate AI into the creative process, from ideation and concept development to image generation, content creation, asset production and workflow optimization.
- Strong visual design fundamentals including typography, layout, composition and storytelling.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent English speaker (written and verbal).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international and multicultural environment.
- Self-driven, proactive and highly collaborative team player.
