The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Leading Hand to join our NSW Warehouse team.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll assist the Warehouse Supervisor and set the standard on the warehouse floor by guiding and mentoring others with a lead-by-example approach. You’ll play a key role in keeping the warehouse running smoothly, from organising inventory and ensuring safe work practices, to helping train and support the warehouse team (a close-knit group of six, including this role and the Warehouse Supervisor) to deliver results.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Picking, packing, unloading containers, put-away, and dispatch.
• Supporting the Warehouse Supervisor in daily operations and team coordination.
• Training and mentoring the team to work safely, efficiently, and accurately.
• Maintaining a clean, organised warehouse using 5S principles (sort, set in order, shine, standardise, sustain).
• Ensuring orders are processed accurately and on time.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements that reduce errors and improve flow.
• Promoting a positive, safe, and productive warehouse culture.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Demonstrated warehouse experience in picking, packing, dispatch, stocktaking, and logistics.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to train, mentor, and support others.
• Strong attention to detail and a process-driven approach.
• Appropriate fitness for heavy lifting and container unloading, with a current forklift licence.
• Computer literacy (MS Office, Sage Accpac, FMS preferred).
• Knowledge of WHS requirements to ensure a safe environment.
• Experience with Dangerous Goods (preferred).
• A proactive, positive attitude that contributes to team culture.
• Willingness to occasionally travel interstate to support our national warehouse network.
