Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the Province of Alberta, ENMAX Corporation, A.E.U.C. (Alberta Electrical Utility Code) and Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations.

  • Ensuring and promoting the safety of crew and others under their direction.

  • Instructing, training and mentoring apprentices and journeyman on ENMAX policies and procedures

  • Ensuring proper care and use of vehicles, equipment and worksite(s) under their direction.

  • Ensuring employees under their direction are adhering to applicable policies and procedures, taking corrective action where necessary.

  • Ensuring the completion and accuracy of all reports &/or documents associated with the work completed under their direction. These may include, but are not limited to tailboards, material requisitions, time reporting, Maximo etc.

  • Use of Infra-red equipment to identify problem areas and generate reports so that repairs can be made.

  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must meet ENMAX Corporation’s requirements as to qualifications and/or must be qualified under the A Alberta Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship Education Act with respect to the related electrical trade

  • Must have a proven safety record and thorough knowledge of Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safe Work Practices (SWPs)

  • Must have a Red Seal and/or Alberta Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certification OR Journeyperson Power System Electrician Certification. Must be qualified under the Alberta Manpower Development Act with respect to the related electrical trade.

  • Must have worked as a Journeyperson Power Lineman OR Journeyperson Power System Electrician for twenty-four (24) months within the last 5 years.

  • Must have a valid Province of Alberta driver's license, upgrade as required.

  • Must be willing to upgrade qualifications as required.

Salary: $72.36 per hour (2026 Collective Agreement rates)

Shift: 4x10 hours - Days

Location:   South Service Centre (8820 – 52nd Street SE, Calgary, AB)
