What You'll Do

We are looking for a Leadership and Talent Consultant to join our team in Benefits and Protection (B&P). In this role, you will collaborate with B&P Leadership teams around leader development. Dependent on needs analysis, this may include coaching, creation of training materials, formal facilitation of learning and development classes or activities, and individualized development conversations. You will use corporate and Benefits and Protection development team resources as needed to create robust leadership development plans.

• Partner with B&P Leaders to provide consultation and coaching around formal and informal development activities for leadership and team development. Collaborate with B&P and HR learning and development peers as needed in curating and/or crafting training materials and activities along with development plans.
• Lead assigned learning and development projects and initiatives to successful completion.
• Create development plans and follow up as needed for execution upon or revision to those plans to ensure the creation of a high performing culture where employees are empowered to do their best work.
• Demonstrate strong consultation and facilitation skills and positive relationships with management to ensure a deep understanding of business unit initiatives and programs to develop training curriculum and determine how to measure the success of the development program.
• Active involvement and appropriate level of engagement with creation, maintenance, and facilitation (as needed) to drive the advancement of B&P initiative.
• Perform other job-related duties or special projects as needed.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• 6+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering leadership development programs is required, including training for new and emerging leaders, leadership capability building, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
• Experience with Instructional design, leadership facilitation and coaching is required.
• Formal leadership coaching experience required; Coaching Certificate is preferred (example; certificate from the International Coaching Federation).
• Travel required up to 25% of time.

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

• A valid Hogan Certification for administering and interpreting Hogan assessments is highly preferred.
• Experience using Articulate for training content development.
• Experience developing and applying branding and graphic design principles to ensure a consistent, cohesive visual identity across all materials, maintaining alignment with established brand standards and messaging.
• Formal leadership experience.
• Experience with leadership assessment tools.

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$104400 - $187200 / year

• Wichita, KS: $104,400 – $140,400 / year
• Des Moines, IA: $110,200 – $148,200 / year
• Charlotte, NC: $116,000 – $156,000 / year
• Chicago, IL / Minneapolis: $127,600 – $171,600 / year
• Los Angeles, CA / New York City, NY: $139,200 – $187,200 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Work Environments

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, Charlotte, NC, and Raleigh, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
