The Infrastructure Planning & Delivery Group contributes to Urban Utilities' purpose and vision and enhances the liveability of our communities through safeguarding financial and economic sustainability of the business, planning to meet the needs of our customers and management of the long-term water cycle and our environmental responsibilities.
Reporting to the Manager – Asset and System Knowledge, the Leader System Modelling is accountable for the development, governance, and strategic application of Urban Utilities' system simulation and scenario analysis capability.
This role defines and enables how the business predicts, tests, and optimises network and treatment system performance before committing investment. It owns the models, calibration standards, model data pipelines, and visualisation platforms that ensure modelling outputs are fit-for-purpose, trusted, and accessible to planners and decision-makers.
You'll inherit an established specialist modelling team and a clear mandate: to build the governance framework for the capability and shape its evolution toward operational, real-time, and digital twin applications as part of Urban Utilities' broader digital direction.
You're a strategic and collaborative leader with deep expertise in process and hydraulic modelling and a passion for using data to solve complex infrastructure challenges.
