Job Description

Job Title:

Location: Spain

Report to: Regional Director Field Services Europe

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • System Management: Design, implement, and supervise the company’s HSE Management System, ensuring regulatory compliance and the integration of HSE standards across all phases of O&M (Operations & Maintenance).
  • Site Supervision: Maintain an active presence across various projects, conducting periodic site visits to verify safety measures, supervising specialized contractors, and managing work permits for high-risk tasks (heights, electrical risk, confined spaces).
  • Preventive Planning: Develop and update Safety and Health Plans (SHP) tailored to specific site topographies and weather conditions, ensuring each project phase has a robust emergency and rescue-at-height protocol.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead root-cause analysis for any incidents, prepare detailed reports, and define corrective/preventive actions to be harmonized across the global fleet.
  • Training & Culture: Coordinate HSE inductions and specialized training, ensuring all personnel (internal and external) hold valid GWO (Global Wind Organisation) certifications and adhere to the company's safety pillars.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Monitor waste management (oils, lubricants), spill prevention, and compliance with Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), specifically regarding local biodiversity and wind farm noise/flicker regulations.
  • International Coordination: Act as the primary liaison for authorities, clients, and auditors. Given the company’s international footprint, you will harmonize HSE policies across your region, ensuring corporate standards meet local legislative requirements.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Vocational Training (FP II) + Master’s Degree in the 3 Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL) specialties.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in similar HSE leadership roles, with a clear focus on energy infrastructure, wind farm construction, or power plant operations.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Document Management Platforms and Business Activity Coordination (CAE/Contractor Management).
  • Certifications: Familiarity with GWO standards and international ISO standards (45001, 14001) is highly valued.
  • Languages: Spanish & English both Advanced is mandatory.
  • Mobility: Full availability to travel to project sites. Occasional overnight stays are required depending on project milestones.
  • Field Experience: Proven hands-on experience in wind farms or wind blade industry or construction sites or industrial plants is essential.
