Lead Young Preschool Teacher – Inspire Wonder, Lead with Purpose

At The Goddard School, we believe early childhood education should be filled with curiosity, connection, and joy. We are seeking an experienced, passionate Lead Preschool Teacher who is ready to take ownership of a classroom, lead with heart, and help shape a school culture where children—and teachers—thrive.

This is more than a teaching role. It is a leadership opportunity for an educator who loves building meaningful relationships, guiding young learners through discovery, and mentoring others along the way.

Our classrooms are guided by our proprietary Wonder of Learning™ curriculum, rooted in inquiry-based, play-driven experiences that spark imagination and support whole-child development.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a preschool classroom with confidence, creativity, and care
  • Design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences
  • Guide children through hands-on, inquiry-based discovery and play
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with families through ongoing communication
  • Observe, document, and support each child’s developmental growth
  • Create a warm, structured environment where children feel safe, seen, and excited to learn
  • Mentor and support assistant teachers within your classroom team
  • Partner with leadership to continuously elevate classroom quality

What Makes This Role Different

  • You are empowered as a leader in the classroom, not just a teacher in it
  • You help shape a culture of curiosity, kindness, and excellence
  • You are part of a school that values your voice, ideas, and professional growth
  • Clear opportunity for future advancement into administrative and leadership roles
  • A supportive environment where teachers are respected, trusted, and developed

What We’re Looking For

  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credential required
  • Candidates currently working toward CDA completion may be considered
  • Experience working with children ages 3–5 in a preschool or early childhood setting
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and best practices
  • Confident classroom leader with positive behavior guidance skills
  • Warm, friendly, nurturing personality with a genuine passion for early learning
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to create a positive, engaging, and structured classroom environment
  • CPR/First Aid certification is not required at time of hire (training and certification provided by The Goddard School)

Why Join Our School

  • Consistent schedule with no evenings or weekends
  • Supportive leadership team and collaborative school culture
  • Strong focus on professional development and growth
  • Opportunity to grow into future leadership or administrative roles
  • A joyful, structured environment where educators can thrive

Benefits

Competitive salary ($35,000–$39,000)
401(k) matching
Health insurance allowance
Paid time off & paid holidays
Tuition assistance
50% childcare discount
Professional development & training
