About the role

LeadWind Technicianwillbe responsible forthe onsite operations, maintenance, repairs, and replacement of equipment,leadscorrective campaigns, mentors field crews, and ensures safety and technical excellence in turbine scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. This role requiresaself starterwith problem solving ability,deep wind industryexperienceand strong leadership skills.

WhatYou’llDo:

  • Assistwith the development of new and existing processes and procedures for

maintenance,qualityand safety.

  • Assistwith the identification and procurement of tooling, consumables,and spare parts inventory.
  • Supervisory responsibilities for a crew(s) during scheduled and unscheduled

maintenance. Assigning, planning,and coordinating tasks with technicians or contractors.

  • Perform mechanical and electrical component repair or replacement of parts to correctmalfunctions following all manufacturers’ requirements.Strategizingopen work items (punch lists)in order tomaintainor increaseavailability.
  • Plan, schedule, assign,and perform preventive maintenancein accordance withOEM maintenance manuals.
  • Providetechnical advice to teamsto aid in maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
  • Mentor and supervise junior and mid-level technicians.
  • Read / Interpret and understand schematics,diagramsand procedures to troubleshootcomplicated mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems associated withGEwind turbines.
  • Use and enforce all mandated safety rules and equipment,comply withall safetyprocedures, Lock Out / Tag Out and environmental requirementsin accordance withRNWBL, its customers, and all applicable government regulations.
  • Complete all necessary reporting and paperwork for assigned projects and tasks. Including but not limited to CMMS, DSPTCH,Visit logs,Monthly/Daily Reports.
  • Communicate issues and solutions to leadershipand customer.
  • Document all service activity and parts consumptions using digital reporting systems(CMMS)
  • Adhere to any contractual requirements, rules, regulations, local laws, and NERC requirements.
  • Able toparticipateand respond in an On-Call 24/7/365 rotation schedule

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in wind turbine field service.
  • Vestasplatform experience preferred (V47, V100).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and technical skills.
  • Comfortable working at heights, confined spaces,and inoutdoor environments.
  • Able to work on call for site coverage
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel from time to time for training or toassiston other projects.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in theUSwithout sponsorship.
  • Mustpass a background check, MVR, and drug test.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

This role requires regular work at heights, confined spaces, physical stamina,outdoor work with weather,and the ability to work a rotational on call schedule. Applicants must adhere to site safety practices and perform in variable outdoor environments.

Travel:

As needed for training and toassiston other projects if necessary.
