Job Summary:

The Lead Warehouse Associate will provide timely, efficient loading and unloading services for the departments.

Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Loading and unloading all materials for plant operation that requires the use of the tow motor.
  • Checking the proper stacking, wrapping, and banding of any materials on skids to ensure its safe transportation.
  • Ensuring safe operation of tow motor and pallet jack.
  • Checking incoming freight for quantity, quality, and ensuring that regulations are met.
  • Inspecting engine oil level and other fluid levels daily to ensure proper engine performance. Weekly cleaning of Tow Motor especially dust from the radiator.
  • Providing dock work as needed or instructed by Manager
  • Coordinating storage of all seasonal materials with Warehouse Manager or the Director of Production.
  • Assisting manager in carrying out program plans for workers with disabilities.
  • Maintaining current inventory of material in warehouse.
  • Be knowledgeable of and comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as legal requirements, at all times.
  • Regular, reliable attendance, as defined in Goodwill’s attendance policy.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Required Skills

Education

  • None.

Experience

  • No experience is necessary

Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to follow verbal instructions and to work as a team member.
  • Ability to prioritize demands from different departments.
  • Must have the ability to lift of carry 75 pounds continuously.
  • Must have knowledge of proper methods of lifting, pushing, and pulling materials.
  • Must be able to learn the techniques of the job from short demonstration up to and including one month.
  • Must be able to read and do basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

Certifications and Licenses

  • Forklift Certification is required.
