Job Description

What you’ll do:

Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations Management
• Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Ensure optimal space utilization and warehouse layout efficiency.
• Monitor productivity and coordinate manpower allocation.
• Implement and maintain warehouse SOPs.
2. Inventory Control
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/WMS systems.
• Conduct cycle counts, stock audits, and reconciliation.
• Minimize stock discrepancies, damages, and obsolescence.
• Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices are followed.
3. Logistics & Transportation
• Manage complete import lifecycle from PO issuance to final delivery
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and CHA for seamless shipment execution
• Plan and track shipments (Air/Sea) ensuring adherence to timelines
• Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
• Optimize transportation routes and costs.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers or sites.
• Track shipment status and proactively handle delays
4. Team Leadership
• Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff.
• Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to KPIs.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
5. Process Improvement
• Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
• Drive lean warehousing and cost-saving initiatives.
• Utilize data for decision-making and performance enhancement.
6. Compliance & Safety
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, policies, and regulations.
• Conduct safety audits and training programs.
• Maintain proper documentation for regulatory compliance.
7. Stakeholder Coordination
• Collaborate with procurement, planning, sales, and finance teams.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers.
• Support audits and reporting requirements.
8. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Inventory accuracy %
• On-time delivery rate
• Order fulfilment cycle time
• Warehouse productivity metrics
• Cost per shipment / logistics cost efficiency
• Safety compliance and incident rate
