About the Role:

The Learning Experience #244 in Sanford, FL is looking for a passionate and dedicated Lead VPK Teacher to inspire and nurture our youngest learners! Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate VPK curriculum aligned with Florida's Voluntary Prekindergarten standards
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment for preschool-aged children
• Assess and track student progress, maintaining accurate developmental records and portfolios
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child development and classroom activities
• Collaborate with assistant teachers and staff to ensure a consistent, high-quality learning experience
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and compliance with state licensing requirements
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

• Florida VPK Teacher Certification or eligibility (AS or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field)
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience teaching in a VPK or early childhood classroom setting
• Strong knowledge of Florida's VPK performance standards and early childhood best practices
• Current DCF 45-hour Child Care Training or equivalent certification required
• CDA required
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine passion for early childhood education

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
