Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Lead with 7-10 years of experience, possessing deep expertise in data modeling, performance optimization, advanced DAX development, and SQL query writing The ideal candidate will lead the design and implementation of scalable Business Intelligence solutions, mentor team members, and drive best practices in data visualization, analytics, and reporting

Key Responsibilities

1. Architecture & Solution Design

• Design and develop robust data models optimized for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Define and implement Power BI architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.
• Ensure solution alignment with enterprise data and analytics strategy.

2. Development & Performance Optimization

• Develop complex DAX measures, calculations, and KPIs to support advanced analytics requirements.
• Optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and semantic models for enhanced performance.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks across reporting and data layers.

3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable BI solutions.
• Lead design discussions and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and support team members on Power BI development, data modeling techniques, DAX best practices, and performance optimization strategies.
• Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.

4. Quality, Governance & Standards

• Ensure adherence to organizational standards related to data security, governance, and compliance.
• Establish reusable frameworks, templates, and development standards to improve consistency and efficiency.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices across Power BI solutions.

Technical Expertise

• Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and related Microsoft BI technologies.
• Extensive experience in data modeling, including:
  • Star Schema
  • Snowflake Schema
  • Normalization and Denormalization Techniques
• Advanced expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for complex calculations and business logic implementation.
• Proven experience in Power BI performance tuning and optimization
• Strong SQL development skills with the ability to write and optimize complex queries across multiple data sources.

Data Integration & Data Management

• Hands-on experience working with:
  • Relational Databases
  • Azure Data Services
  • On-Premises Data Sources
  • APIs and External Data Sources
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, data integration patterns, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with enterprise-scale reporting and analytics environments.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure data and analytics services.
• Familiarity with enterprise BI governance and deployment frameworks.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and modern analytics architectures.

Experience leading teams and delivering enterprise-scale Power BI implementations
