The Role: RVT Team Lead


As our Team Lead, you’ll play a key role in driving clinical excellence, team development, and daily operations across treatment and surgical areas.

This is a working leadership role. You’ll lead by example on the floor while coaching and developing your team.



What You’ll Do


Leadership & Team Development

  • Coach, mentor, and support RVTs, assistants, and support staff
  • Partner with hospital leadership and doctors to advance medical quality and training
  • Help onboard and train new hires while supporting continued staff development
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and growth-oriented team culture


Treatment Area Oversight

  • Manage daily workflow, staffing assignments, and efficiency in treatment
  • Oversee inventory, stocking, and collaboration with inventory management
  • Maintain and improve protocols to support high-quality, efficient patient care
  • Ensure compliance with AVMA, NCVMB, and OSHA standards


Surgery & Dentistry

  • Oversee daily surgical and dental operations, including workflow and staffing
  • Ensure high standards in anesthesia, patient monitoring, and recovery
  • Support seamless coordination between treatment and surgical teams


Training & Growth

  • Provide hands-on training and mentorship across skill levels
  • Support CE initiatives, team meetings, and skill development opportunities
  • Help build a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence



What We’re Looking For


  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) required
  • 3+ years of clinical experience (leadership experience preferred)
  • Strong skills in anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry
  • Experience in fast-paced GP, urgent care, or ER settings
  • Proven ability to lead, delegate, and develop others
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for patient care, team development, and hospital growth



Schedule & Benefits

  • Full-time - 40 hours/week
  • 4-day work week with rotating Saturdays
