What you’ll do:


This role will be the designated lead engineer for verification and validation testing of medium-voltage to low-voltage conversion power electronics products in EMEA region. Responsible for specifying and developing test facilities, test methods and equipment, carrying out all verification and validation activities and ensuring efficient operation of the electrical test laboratory while maintaining compliance with quality, safety, and procedural standards. This is a key role supporting Eaton’s growth in next-generation power conversion systems.

Job Responsibilities
- Specify and develop new facilities, equipment and processes suitable for testing medium-voltage to low-voltage conversion power electronics products
- Oversee and coordinate all validation activities for designated products in the laboratory
- Plan and manage complex test programs, including setup, execution, and documentation
- Develop advanced test strategies and automation solutions
- Provide technical leadership and mentor team members
- Ensure laboratory safety and equipment reliability
- Drive global collaboration with Eaton test organizations
- Align validation efforts with organizational goals and standards
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standard
- Collaborate with global engineering teams and engineer a global solution together
- Translate customer and product requirements, relevant standards and regulations into test instructions and plans to ensure full verification and validation
- Establish and maintain full traceability between product requirements, test cases, and validation results to ensure comprehensive verification coverage
- Ensure compliance with EMEA-specific standards and certifications

Qualifications:

Education level required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Years and area of experience required
7+ years of experience in power electronics or medium-voltage/high-voltage equipment or machinery applications, including leading teams in complex engineering activities

Skills:

Technical knowledge
- Expert knowledge of power electronics systems
- Extensive practical experience working with medium-voltage/high-voltage equipment and standards (design, testing, commissioning or similar)
- Experience with interpreting relevant IEC standards to produce engineering documentation and processes (requirements, specifications, test methods or similar)
- Familiarity with simulation tools and design validation processes.

Soft skills
- Ability to interface with stakeholders throughout the organization and translate needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally both overseas and within the EMEA region
