
Responsibilities
Upon the order of a qualified provider, the Ultrasound Lead Technologist utilizes equipment that employs high frequency sound waves for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. Imaging services vary by location, therefore, performance of special procedures but not limited to breast sonohysterography and/or vascular ultrasound may be required depending on assigned site. The Ultrasound Lead Technologist will utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) to complete clerical processes and the designated Patient Archiving System (PACS). May be assigned to other duties, technical or non-technical if training, experience and credentials are deemed adequate by supervisor to perform those duties. Functions as a team leader, with appropriate attention to process improvement and team development

Salary Range: $88,329 - $109,113 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. OR Education sufficient to meet the ACR accreditation guidelines for an US Technologist
Preferred: Bachelor of Science-Healthcare related degree
Experience
Required: Minimum 5 years ultrasound experience or 3 years of KSC Ultrasound experience.
Preferred: 5 or > years ultrasound experience / PACS and RIS experience
License(s)
Required: RDMS with minimum 2 specialty ultrasound registries as well as the RVT or RVS OR RT (R) (S), as well as the RVT or RVS
Preferred: RDMS, (Ab)(OB)(BR) RVT and/or RVS.
Special Skills
Required: Ability to use computer keyboard and grasp elements of digital image acquisition.
Preferred: Bi-lingual or multi-lingual
Other
Required: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
