Job Location: NEW CASTLE, PA 16101
Position Type: Full TimeEzeflow USA, Inc. – Flowline Division is seeking a motivated, detailed oriented Ultrasonic Inspection Lead to join our growing manufacturing team. Candidate must have documentation of current for former UT Level I or Level II Certification and at least 900 documented hours in UT method. All inspections are conducted on site and are primarily immersion testing with some contact testing.
In addition to leading the Ultrasonic Inspection work, duties will include the inspection of bar, pipe, tube, and forgings to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality control.
Major Responsibilities/ Activities include the following, but are not limited to:
- Conduct tests with appropriate NDT technique(s).
- Interpret, evaluate, and document test results
- Must be familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual documents
- Identify and resolve problems timely
- Obtain and analyze information
- Edit and present numerical data effectively
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
- Set up and calibrate equipment, UT machines
- Interpret A scan, B scan, and C scan results on machine
- Evaluate results against procedural requirements for acceptance or rejection
- Reports inspection results on detailed forms and documents.
- Enters data pertaining to nonconformance information, test results, and order status on a computer terminal.
- Performs visual inspection for rough edges, cracks, and appearance.
- Utilizes hand tools to measure dimensions per specification. (Calipers, Micrometers, Machinist Scale, Tape Measure)
- Must be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations Ultrasonic Testing
- Capable of guiding and assisting Level I inspectors
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED/Degree
- Certification of 80 hours of classroom training
- 900 documented hours in method (UT)
- Previous Level I Certification
- Previous Level II Certification
Required Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations such as meetings to other employees of the organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as area, circumference, and volume.
- Basic computer terminal keyboarding skills.
