At Scenthound, we’re changing the way people care for their dogs by making routine hygiene and wellness a priority. We’re looking for a skilled, confident Lead Trimmer who is passionate about dogs, takes pride in their craft, and loves sharing their knowledge with others.

As a Lead Trimmer you’ll do more than groom dogs. You’ll help develop your team, set the standard for quality, and create a positive environment where other trimmers and bathers can learn, grow, and succeed together. You’re a rockstar and we know it.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Lead Trimmer plays an essential role in the success of our Scenter. You’ll bring expert grooming knowledge, lead by example, and provide hands-on guidance, training, and mentorship to our grooming and bathing teams.

You’ll help ensure every dog receives consistent, high-quality care while keeping the team supported, confident, and on schedule.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• At least 1 year of grooming experience or graduation from a grooming school
• Knowledge of dog breeds, care standards, and grooming tools and techniques
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Reliable transportation

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead by example: Groom dogs to Scenthound standards while providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to groomers and bathers.
• Keep grooming simple and consistent: Perform our signature puppy cuts—one length all over with a neat, tidy face.
• Build a strong team: Foster a positive environment centered on learning, open communication, and teamwork.
• Train and develop others: Teach new groomers Scenthound standards and provide ongoing coaching and hands-on mentorship.
• Keep the day running smoothly: Recognize when and where support is needed and step in to keep the team on schedule.
• Put safety first: Ensure the safety and well-being of dogs and team members at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment: Follow Scenthound’s sanitation and cleaning practices.
• Support the Scenter: Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by the Scenter Manager.

Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
