Hours: Full Time Nights 40 Hours per week.
The Lead Transporter serves in a supervisory position to facilitate the safe and efficient movement of medical center patients with the transport staff, the transport software system, and transport equipment.
Supervision of the patient transport staff. The Lead will help orient and train the transporters and provide supervisor level support of the daily operations of the transporters.
Assisting the department manager. The Lead provides supervisory level administrative support to the manager. The Lead may also be tasked with attending meetings, training sessions, and other assignments as directed by the manager.
Transporting patients. The Lead is expected to transport patients during high volume transport request periods.
System coordinator for the computer transport software system.
Provide orientation and training of the transport staff, and performance reviews to include coaching and disciplinary support as required.
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
Minimum 1 year experience in patient transporting/customer service. Required
