Job Description

The Training Coordinator Lead will drive excellence in scheduling and staffing outage training courses, maintain rigor with personnel training requirements, training documentation and external training program accreditation. This will include cross-functional coordination with the San Jose site manager, product lines, variable work force managers and GVH Outage Staffing to forecast and schedule courses to meet the needs of the customers and outage teams.
This role will be responsible for ensuring qualified class staffing, compliant training record keeping, and appropriate student to instructor ratios as well as being the main point of contact for training classrooms and equipment management. This position will also lead the WHR training, NANTeL and EPRI STE programs.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Forecast, plan and schedule outage training in Wilmington and San Jose facilities
    • Build P6 schedules
    • Publish training calendar
    • Initiate access workflows
  • Coordinate with product lines to identify training required to support engineer and technician development and staff qualified instructors
  • Maintain training material inventory
  • Point of contact for training equipment and preventive maintenance scheduler
  • NANTeL Program Manager and Lead Administrator – ensure procedure compliance and proctor qualifications. Site lead for new accounts and assigning training assignments. Lead Proctor for exams to support GVH outage teams. Maintain NANTeL Administrator and Proctor certifications.
  • EPRI STE Program Manager and Site Lead – Perform annual observation reports for evaluators; maintain evaluator currency and identify and assign training to new evaluators; maintain EPRI certification to proctor and record EPRI Performance Evaluations
  • Analyze training gaps in outage worker qualifications and use to drive training schedule and staffing accountability
  • Coordinate with project managers to define and refine project role requirements
  • Verify outage qualifications for engineers and technicians (DOT, FME, FM, course quals)
  • Maintain training records – FM resets, Rigging refresher training, completions/remediation documents, exemptions, equivalencies, etc.
  • Coordinate with Training Developer to share instructor/student feedback for course improvements
  • Operations Team purchasing lead – PO project and task creation and closure for Training and Operations team expenditures
  • Support outage teams by providing training experience reports
  • Assign and assist Outage Services team with GEV Learning courses

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree and Minimum 5 years Field Services team support experience
  • NANTeL Administrator/Proctor certification
  • EPRI STE Observer qualification
  • Expertise using the following programs: NSD, P6, Oracle, Devonway, Workday

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $78,800.00 and $131,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
