Not every preschool is the same. And neither is every teaching job.
Toddlers are extraordinary.
One day they're taking their first wobbly steps. The next they're proudly insisting, "I do it myself!" They're discovering language, learning empathy, building confidence, and experiencing the world with endless curiosity.
Those moments deserve a teacher who sees the magic in them.
At The Goddard School of Skippack, we believe children deserve teachers who love coming to work each day. That starts by creating a workplace where teachers feel respected, supported, appreciated, and empowered to do what they do best—help young children discover who they are.
We're looking for an experienced Lead Toddler Teacher who brings warmth, patience, creativity, and genuine joy into the classroom every day.
We hire differently.
We hire for character, warmth, curiosity, and coachability. Skills can be developed, but attitude, integrity, and a genuine love for children are what build exceptional early educators.
If that describes you, we'd love to meet you.
You might be a great fit if...
- You naturally sit on the floor to play instead of watching from the sidelines.
- You understand that toddlers learn best by exploring, touching, moving, and asking "Why?"
- You celebrate first words, first friendships, and every small victory along the way.
- You remain calm, patient, and encouraging during the challenging moments that naturally come with toddlerhood.
- You believe relationships come before routines.
- You enjoy laughing, singing, dancing, reading stories, and making learning fun.
- You love being part of a supportive teaching team.
What You'll Do
As the Lead Toddler Teacher, you'll create and lead a classroom where children feel safe, loved, confident, and excited to explore the world around them.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and implementing engaging, hands-on learning experiences
- Creating a nurturing classroom built around curiosity and exploration
- Supporting children's language, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Building strong relationships with families through open communication
- Leading daily routines with patience and consistency
- Mentoring and collaborating with Assistant Teachers
- Maintaining a clean, organized, welcoming classroom
- Helping every child feel valued, capable, and successful
What It's Like to Work Here
We're proud of the culture we've built. Our teachers aren't just employees. They're professionals making an incredible difference every single day.
We believe in coaching instead of criticizing. Teamwork instead of workplace drama. Support instead of micromanagement. Growth instead of perfection.
You'll work alongside leaders who are approachable, coworkers who genuinely care about one another, and families who trust us with what matters most. When our teachers succeed, our children thrive.

- Experience working with toddlers (12–36 months) in a licensed childcare or preschool setting is required.
- Previous experience leading a toddler classroom is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices for toddlers.
- Reliable, dependable, and professional with excellent communication skills.
