Lead Toddler Teacher (2-Year-Old Classroom)
Location: The Learning Experience – Tuckahoe, NY
Pay: $20–$23 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Hiring Timeline: Position needed within 2 weeks

The Learning Experience – Tuckahoe is seeking an experienced and energetic Lead Toddler Teacher to guide our 2-year-old classroom. This role is ideal for an early childhood educator who enjoys supporting toddlers as they build independence, language, and social-emotional skills in a structured and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a toddler classroom in a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate setting
  
  
• Plan and implement hands-on learning experiences aligned with the L.E.A.P. curriculum
  
  
• Support language development, motor skills, and early independence
  
  
• Maintain consistent routines including meals, toileting, transitions, and rest time
  
  
• Supervise and support assistant teachers
  
  
• Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and daily activities
  
  
• Maintain compliance with NYC DOHMH licensing and safety requirements
  
  

Qualifications

• One of the following required:
  
  
  • 12 credits in Early Childhood Education, or
    
    
  • CDA credential, or
    
    
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education
    
    
• Experience working with toddlers required
  
  
• Previous lead teacher experience preferred
  
  
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
  
  
• CPR and First Aid preferred
  
  
• Must meet NYC childcare licensing requirements
