Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Solutions Architect with 3–5 years of expertise in SAP Transportation Management (TM), ideally with exposure to S/4HANA TM implementations. The role requires strong capabilities in collaborating with business stakeholders for requirements gathering, designing and configuring scalable TM solutions, and leading deployment and operational management, with a deep interest in transportation solution architecture.

Experience Required

-8 to 10 years of experience in SAP Implementation, with minimum of 3 years in SAP TM solution designing.

Critical Skills required:

  • Possess solid knowledge in SAP TM Master Data including Business Partner, Dangerous Goods transportation network such as Locations, Routes, Zones and resources vehicles, Trailers, HU etc
  • Hands on experience in OTR (order based) & DTR (delivery based) processes, including Selection, planning profiles, Condition’s optimizer planning and scheduling, Freight Execution Carrier selection, Tendering and cost distribution.
  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP TM Charge Management includes Rate Tables, Scales, Calculation Sheets, Freight Agreements
  • Strong hands-on experience integrating SAP TM with other areas such as SAP EWM, Freight Collaboration, SAP LBN, Project 44 and other third-party software such as PC Miler, SMC3 etc
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.

Nice to Have

  • Nice to have SAP LBN hands on experience especially Dock Appointment Scheduling
  • Nice to have knowledge on ABAP Development, Debugging, custom objects such as BADI, functional modules, ALV Reports etc.
  • Preferred to have excellent project management skills.

Qualifications

  • Own end-to-end technical architecture and solution design for SAP S/4HANA TMS
  • Lead software delivery, continuous improvement, and adherence to best practices
  • Translate business needs into system scope, architecture, and functional solutions
  • Drive full lifecycle delivery: analysis, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and support
  • Manage complex TMS configurations and ongoing enhancements
  • Define and enforce enterprise architecture standards, principles, and policies
  • Lead project execution covering scope, plan, risks, resources, and delivery
  • Act as technical and functional lead for cross-functional and matrix teams
  • Mentor developers and ensure consistent development methodologies
  • Document key processes, milestones, and solution designs
  • Educate stakeholders on TMS workflows, business processes, and reporting
  • Ensure solutions align with IT long-term strategy and industry best practices
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners
  • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities, timelines, and ambiguity
  • Travel as needed to distribution centers and plants
  • Leverage Agile practices and tools such as Azure DevOps and MS Project
