
Position in the West Place Drop-In Center. The Therapeutic Activities Worker who will model recovery based behavior in a community based behavioral health program. A Drop-In Center is a central place for self-help, advocacy, education and socialization. As a therapeutic activities worker lead the job provides an opportunity for assisting mental health consumers on socializing and networking that addresses the isolation felt by many, especially those in mental health recovery. Acts as a liaison for any issues or concerns within the program to the supervisor or manager as needed.
1. Follow an overall rehabilitation philosophy and provide guidance to fellow staff and clients in methods of achieving them.
2. Engage drop in members in actively using the center to increase level of community integration.
3. Assist in preparing and cooking meals.
4. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the program.
5. Participate in and accompany members in outing and activities.
6. Ensure the safety of the program, program’s property, and individuals attending the program.
a. Follow safety policy, protocols as set forth by Independence Health Systems and Caregivers of SWPA
7. Maintain client records
8. Complete documentation that is associated with the program.
9. Follow all program and organization policies and procedures.
