Lead testing & commissioning (T&C) activities for 132 kV / 33 kV / 11 kV substations
Review and approve T&C procedures, method statements, and checklists
Coordinate with ADNOC, consultants, OEMs, and contractors during commissioning phases
Supervise testing of:
Power transformers
GIS / AIS switchgear
Protection relays (distance, differential, REF, OC/EF)
Circuit breakers, CTs, VTs
SCADA, RTU, SAS, interlocking systems
Coordinating with engineering, construction, QA/QC, HSE, and operations teams
Reviewing and approving testing & commissioning procedures and checklists
Supervising functional tests, loop checks, energization, and system handover
Identifying, tracking, and closing punch points
Ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety requirements
Acting as the main focal point with clients, vendors, and third parties during commissioning
Plan and execute testing and commissioning activities for electrical and instrumentation systems as per project requirements.
Perform functional tests, system integration tests, loop checks, and site acceptance tests (SAT).
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to electrical and instrumentation systems during testing and commissioning.
Ensure that all systems are tested in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
Prepare and maintain detailed test reports, commissioning records, and documentation.
Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients to facilitate smooth commissioning processes.
Provide technical support and training to end-users or operators on system functionality and operation.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines during all commissioning activities.
Conduct final inspections and verification of electrical and instrumentation equipment functionality before handover.
Recommend modifications or improvements based on test results and operational feedback.
achelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 10–15 years experience in HV substations, including 132 kV
Proven experience working on ADNOC or major Oil & Gas projects
Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, ADNOC standards
Hands-on experience with protection relays (Siemens, ABB, Schneider, GE, SEL)
Excellent coordination, leadership, and communication skills
Certification in commissioning processes (e.g., Certified Commissioning Professional - CCP) is a plus.
Experience with PLC/SCADA systems, DCS, control systems, or industrial automation is an added advantage., Adnoc Certifiocaation.
Knowledge of hazardous area classifications, ATEX standards, and intrinsically safe instrumentation is beneficial.
