Truliant’s mission is to improve lives by putting our members first, providing great service and straightforward financial solutions. Our core values of Member Focus, Service, Guidance, Relationships, and Community define how we interact with members to fulfill our mission of improving lives and providing a foundation on which we conduct ourselves.

Our Promise to Our Teammates: Truliant strives to provide all teammates with an enjoyable place to work where they feel valued, empowered and rewarded for all that they do.

Why this role matters

At Truliant Federal Credit Union, every member interaction is an opportunity to build trust, solve a need, and deliver service that reflects our commitment to member owners. As a Lead Teller I, you’ll help keep daily teller operations running smoothly while coaching the team to create consistent, accurate, and meaningful member experiences. This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being a hands on leader, supporting others, and making a visible impact in the branch.

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll help lead the day to day teller experience by supporting team members, reinforcing service standards, and ensuring transactions and branch cash processes are handled accurately and consistently. You’ll serve as a role model for excellent member service, help resolve member account concerns with care and confidentiality, and provide leadership support when management is not available.

Day to day, you’ll:

  • Coach, mentor, and encourage teller team members so they can contribute to branch goals and deliver strong member service.
  • Support accurate teller operations, including balancing standards, cash audits, vault cash, cash dispensing equipment, night depository processing, and related controls.
  • Help the team follow Credit Union policies, security procedures, check hold standards, member identification procedures, and operational updates.

Beyond that, you’ll collaborate with branch management, support new policy and procedure training, assist with team development conversations, and step in to serve members whenever the branch needs additional support.

What you bring

We’re looking for someone who can balance accuracy, service, and leadership in a busy branch environment. You’ll be successful here if you are comfortable guiding others, handling member situations with professionalism, and keeping operations organized and compliant.

This role is a great fit if you have:

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of standard financial services concepts, practices, procedures, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Clear verbal and written English communication skills for member, team, and leadership interactions.
  • Ability to resolve member complaints, coach others, and support consistent member service standards.
  • Good arithmetic skills and the ability to monitor transactions, balancing, cash limits, and related branch controls with accuracy.
  • Basic personal computer skills and the ability to understand Credit Union business processes.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to shift priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a goal-oriented environment while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent service to Truliant’s members.

Education/Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

You should also be comfortable leading by example, giving coaching and feedback, and helping the teller team stay aligned with policies, service expectations, and branch priorities.

What sets you apart

You don’t need to check every box, but here’s what will help you thrive in this role:

  • 2+ years of teller or branch operations experience in the financial services industry.
  • Previous supervisory experience or experience mentoring team members.
  • Previous sales experience, especially in a service focused environment.
  • An associate degree or higher.
  • Comfort training others on policies, procedures, operational changes, and member service expectations.

What you’ll get

We believe in supporting our team members both professionally and personally.

In this role, you can expect:

  • A member focused culture where your work directly supports Truliant’s mission of meeting the financial needs of member owners.
  • Opportunities to grow your leadership skills through coaching, mentoring, training, and day to day branch support.
  • Meaningful exposure to teller operations, cash controls, compliance practices, and member service problem solving.
  • A collaborative branch environment where accuracy, service, teamwork, and accountability all matter.
  • The chance to make a real difference for members and teammates by creating a consistent, welcoming, and reliable service experience.
