Your contribution!

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will work closely with internal operations, maintenance, and compliance teams, as well as external contractors and service providers.

Your day-to-day!

Operations & Maintenance

  • Support the operation, inspection, and maintenance of wind turbines and balance-of-plant (BOP) systems, including electrical, civil, and transmission infrastructure
  • Assist OEM crews with turbine maintenance activities as required
  • Collaborate with the Site Manager to plan, prioritize, and execute daily and scheduled work activities
  • Coordinate and oversee contractor and vendor activities, including work planning, site orientations, safety oversight, progress tracking, and verification of completed work
  • Support facility operations and ensure maintenance activities align with industry best practices and contractual performance requirements

QA/QC & Reporting

  • Perform QA/QC inspections on turbines and report deficiencies to the Site Manager
  • Conduct routine inspections of BOP assets, including electrical systems, civil infrastructure, roads, transmission lines, and collector systems
  • Document deficiencies, perform troubleshooting activities, and support the implementation of corrective actions
  • Monitor asset condition and performance, identify issues, and recommend solutions to maximize performance and value retention

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all site activities are conducted in accordance with applicable safety requirements, NERC/WECC standards, and established operating procedures
  • Support compliance with environmental regulations related to hazardous waste management, spill prevention, avian studies, and wildlife conservation
  • Coordinate with the Compliance team on the implementation of Innergex compliance procedures
  • Assist with PRC-005 summaries, maintenance activity reviews, and tracker updates
  • Assist with FAC-008 templates
  • Support audit preparation, evidence gathering, assessments, and responses to requests for information (RFIs)
  • Support other Regulatory Compliance initiatives as required

General Support

  • Assist with the management of site tools, equipment, materials, and inventory
  • Provide cross-functional and site-to-site operational support as required
  • Participate in special projects and additional tasks supporting site operations
  • Support other Innergex facilities through vacation coverage and operational assistance when needed

Your skills, our requirements!

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Post-secondary education or trade certification in a relevant technical field (electrical, mechanical, power engineering, renewable energy, instrumentation, millwright, heavy equipment), or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Previous experience as a wind turbine technician or equivalent trade experience

  • Knowledge and experience in the operation and maintenance of high-voltage systems, substations, civil infrastructure, and SCADA systems

  • Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems

  • Ability to perform troubleshooting and identify equipment faults

  • Experience operating industrial equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and man lifts is an asset

  • Understanding of environmental regulations and land stewardship practices

Physical & work environment requirements

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions, including extreme weather

  • Ability to climb wind turbines and work at heights while using fall protection equipment

  • Ability to work in confined spaces

  • Ability to meet site-specific fitness and safety requirements

  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence with experience driving in remote and forest service road conditions

Technical skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)

  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an asset

  • Certifications considered assets

    • NFPA 70E Electrical Safety

    • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)

    • Fall Protection / Working at Heights

    • Confined Space Awareness

    • Elevated Work Platform Operation

    • WHMIS

    • Valid First Aid / CPR Certification

  • This position is a O3 level

Pay Transparency Statement

Compensation for roles at Innergex varies based on a wide range of factors, including skill set, education, and relevant experience. We are committed to pay equity and take internal equity among current team members into account when determining any final offer.

To support pay transparency, the hiring range for this position is $48.08–$60.10 per hour, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Your final base salary, if hired, will be determined by factors such as your skills, education, and experience, along with our commitment to internal equity.

Please note that it is not typical to hire at the top of the hiring range, as doing so limits opportunities for future salary growth. Innergex also offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
