Job Description

Summary Statement:

The Facilities Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing the preparation sign surfaces for application of text/graphics, assist in the manufacture of signs, perform graphics application duties on various platforms, ensure that signs are correctly and safely installed. Maintenance Technician-Sign Shop will perform all related duties as assigned. All responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with all laws and regulations, as well as Resorts World Las Vegas policies, practices, and procedures.

Primary Job Duties: – Includes but is not limited to:

  • Supervises assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan and vision of the division, department, and organization.
  • Directly supervise facilities and maintenance personnel, including hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, promotions, employee development, and engagement.
  • Oversee staff scheduling and review and approve time-off requests.
  • Provide the training necessary to ensure optimum job performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Create and maintain a work environment that promotes integrity, teamwork, performance, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all local and federal health, safety, and building codes and maintain accurate records of department activities and documentation.
  • Leverage maintenance programs to manage preventive maintenance schedules and procedures, overseeing maintenance, cleaning, repairs, and equipment replacement.
  • Manage assigned areas of materials and equipment, including maintaining established par levels.
  • Provide input on and manage inventory levels and purchases for parts, tools, equipment, machinery, and supplies to property standards.
  • Check inventory levels to ensure optimal supplies and resources.
  • Ensure that machinery, tools, and equipment are properly maintained and in good working order.
  • Design and fabricate signs according to required specifications, including shape, size, color, and quality standards.
  • Assist in the manufacture and fabrication of signs.
  • Perform sign-making activities utilizing appropriate tools, equipment, and techniques.
  • Prepare vinyl graphics and substrates for application purposes.
  • Follow layouts to apply computer-generated graphics to designated surfaces.
  • Perform graphic application duties on walls, vehicles, poles, and other platforms.
  • Assist with the installation of signs and related materials.
  • Ensure colors, tones, dimensions, and other specifications meet outlined requirements.
  • Adjust colors, shapes, sizes, and other design elements to maintain compliance with project requirements.
  • Perform duties such as hand lettering and symbol creation.
  • Perform finishing activities including laminating, encapsulating, mounting, and other production processes.
  • Coordinate the delivery and pick up signs, materials, and equipment from clients and vendors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, professional shop environment.
  • Manage the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with company service standards and brand expectations.
  • Assist customers in person and over the telephone.
  • Provide customers with information regarding designs, products, specifications, and sizing options.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service and professionalism.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job-related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, and related business activities.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications: – Includes but is not limited to:

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with focus on clearly communicating technical concepts.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in similar resort setting.
  • Exceptional service and recovery ability working with internal and external guests.
  • Mastery of interpretation of documents involving maintenance instructions, sketches, plans blueprints, procedure manual and safety rules.
  • Ability to handle all situations professionally and excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment; maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to operate effectively while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within the Team.

Preferred

  • Degree in General Education.
  • 4 or more years progressive experience.
  • Experience using graphic design software and RIP (Raster Image Processor) software to prepare artwork for large-format printing.
  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Ability to obtain the following:
    • OSHA 30
    • Relevant technical training, licenses and/or certifications.
