About the Role:

Seeking a Lead Technician – Reliability Services to support our growing industrial services operation based out of Reserve, Louisiana. This role is focused on hands-on field work supporting industrial customers through professional lubrication and reliability services.

General Summary:

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-minded, experienced in industrial field work, and capable of leading a small crew. This position serves as the field execution lead for reliability service projects, working from the project plan to coordinate technicians, maintain safe and professional jobsite execution, communicate with the Project Manager and customer, and perform hands-on work involving oil filtration, dehydration, high-velocity oil flushing, varnish mitigation, and in-plant lubrication services.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform oil filtration and dehydration services on bulk oil products, hydraulic, turbine, and circulating oil systems.
• Lead 2-3 person field crews on reliability service projects, including task coordination, technician development, safety compliance, and customer communication.
• Serve as the on-site field execution lead, coordinating daily work with the Project Manager, communicating project status and issues, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to scope.
• Troubleshoot pumps, hoses, valves, filtration equipment, flow restrictions, leaks, and other field equipment or process issues within the technician's level of responsibility.
• Manage jobsite setup and breakdown, equipment and tool inventory, material readiness, housekeeping, and the return of service equipment in job-ready condition.
• Assist with and execute high-velocity oil flushing, varnish removal, and confined space reservoir cleaning projects.
• Conduct in-plant lubrication services, including oil changes, lubrication routes, and equipment installation.
• Operate pumps, filter carts, and other related lubrication equipment.
• Collect oil samples and assist with basic condition monitoring activities.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and customer site requirements including conducting JSAs and BBS observations.
• Maintain service equipment, tools, and work areas in clean, and safe conditions.
• Execute preventative maintenance on service equipment and vehicles.
• Accurately complete service documentation and field reports.
• Represent the company professionally at customer sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned to assist McPherson Oil operations during periods of lower field service demand including but not limited to loading & unloading trucks, and preparing shipments. Responsible for the completion of special projects or the assignment of other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Position Requirements:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid State Issued Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance, millwright, pipefitting, lubrication, rotating equipment, or industrial field-service experience strongly preferred; demonstrated ability to lead or coordinate a small field crew required.
• Mechanical or industrial background preferred (maintenance, lubrication, millwright, and/or pipefitting).
• Experience in industrial environments such as manufacturing, refining, chemical, power generation, or oil & gas preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with pumps, hoses, valves, and tools.
• Ability to work safely in industrial settings, including confined spaces and elevated platforms.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overnight travel, overtime, weekends, extended shifts, and multi-day project assignments at customer sites throughout the service territory.

Preferred Skills/Experience (But Not Required):

• Experience with lubrication services including but not limited to vacuum dehydration, oil flushing, filter carts, varnish removal, and other fluid conditioning activities.
• Vibration Analysis Data Collection
• Pipefitting & Millwright experience
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and/or Chauffeur's License
• Prior safety training (TWIC, OSHA 10/30, refinery safety, etc.)

Working Environment:

The work of this position is performed in both inside and outside environments in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. The position requires the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Frequent bending, stooping, and climbing is required. In this position, associates may be exposed to hazardous materials, vapors, fumes, and extreme weather conditions. Proper PPE is provided for employees working in these conditions.
