The Lead Technical Representative is a senior technical and operational leader responsible for managing complex engine shop visits at third party MROs. The role oversees end to end execution, including workscope development, cost control, material strategy, and customer engagement, while providing fleet expertise, leading stakeholder interactions, challenging supplier performance, and mentoring team members. This position is critical to protect margins, optimizing turnaround time, and ensuring successful engine program delivery

Job Duties:
Workscope & Program Leadership
• Lead the development of CMS engine workscopes based on customer build requirements; secure final customer approval and ensure accurate publication for MRO execution
• Maintain ownership of workscope integrity throughout the shop visit, managing cost, performance, and operational constraints
• Provide strategic input on repair vs. scrap decisions (BER), leveraging deep engine and module-level expertise
Technical Expertise & Supplier Management
• Serve as a fleet/engine subject matter expert, actively challenging MROs and suppliers on pricing, repair strategies, DER/PMA usage, and turnaround time (TAT) performance
• Drive accountability across suppliers to ensure alignment with contractual expectations and CMS financial targets
• Identify and implement alternate solutions to mitigate material constraints and minimize schedule or cost impacts
Cost Management & Financial Performance
• Lead detailed material tracking at the module and piece-part level during shop visits
• Drive alignment between actual shop visit performance and modeled cost estimates, proactively identifying risks to CMS margin
• Influence repair decisions and material strategies to optimize financial outcomes
Customer & Stakeholder Leadership
• Lead all external customer interactions related to shop visit execution, including WIP reviews, workscope changes, technical approvals (DER/PMA), and material constraints
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex issues, resolving conflicts between customers, MROs, and internal stakeholders
• Lead weekly WIP calls, presenting progress, challenging performance gaps, and driving actionable outcomes
Operational Execution & Continuous Improvement
• Drive MRO performance by actively managing schedules, material flow, and execution risks across multiple shop visits
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing turnaround time, improving cost efficiency, and enhancing execution visibility
• Provide recommendations to enhance systems, tools, and reporting capabilities
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial engine MRO, including expertise in at least one of the following platforms:
◦ IAE V2500, CFMI CFM56-5B / 7B, Pratt & Whitney PW4000, GE CF6-80C2
• Advanced understanding of engine teardown, inspection, repair development, assembly, and test processes
• Demonstrated ability to interpret OEM manuals, service bulletins, and FAA Airworthiness Directives
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing repair cost structures and shop visit budgets
• Ability to travel up to 50%
Preferred Qualifications
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification
• Advanced analytical capability with Microsoft Excel and data-driven reporting tools
• PMP certification or formal project management training
• Prior experience leading customer-facing technical and operational reviews

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
