Get to Know the Role

As the Lead Technical Program Manager, you will manage a variety of complex, cross-functional programs and lead all aspects of assigned program delivery. Get a taste of how Grab really works, behind the scenes. You will create and maintain the delivery roadmap for the teams you work with, along with the respective Tech and Product Leaders. You will also get to define the way of driving these programs and always find ways of improving this process in a data-driven manner.

You will report to a Senior Technical Program Management Leader, and will be based onsite in our Petaling Jaya office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will drive roadmap planning and prioritization discussions with cross-functional leaders to ensure strategic program leadership.
• You will manage a portfolio of projects, advising and directly owning the delivery of 1–2 large, cross-organizational programs.
• You will partner with business and technical stakeholders to define program timelines and milestones, ensuring effective stakeholder management and communication.
• You will track and report progress, resolve impediments, and ensure cross-functional alignment while managing communication across teams.
• You will lead technical whiteboard sessions to troubleshoot implementation details and remove blockers, facilitating technical problem-solving.
• You will continuously identify and implement improvements in team and organizational delivery practices, driving the adoption of best practices across disciplines.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Over 12 years of experience in Technical Program Management, PMO leadership, or similar roles in tech or tech-adjacent domains.
• Experience in managing complex, cross-functional portfolios and end-to-end program delivery.
• Understand software development processes and lifecycle.
• Knowledge of Agile frameworks and experience in applying them to guide teams.
• Experience in program management frameworks using a data-driven approach.
• Skilled in identifying, mitigating, and managing risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Proven ability to collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to align objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously while maintaining delivery momentum.
• Proficient with tools like JIRA and Confluence to streamline project workflows and tracking.
