Lead, Technical Product Owner- R&D Digital Platforms

The Role:
Our team is looking for a highly skilled Lead, Technical Product Owner- R&D Digital Platforms with experience partnering with research and development stakeholders to define, prioritize, and deliver digital platform and data/AI-enabled capabilities that accelerate innovation.
Our Digital Innovation Platform leveragesadvancesin artificial intelligence and machine learning, modeling and simulation, and cloud technologies to deliver tools and workflows that accelerate innovation and reduce cycle time for new product development.
In this role, you will ensure digital capabilities are grounded in real research and development workflows andprioritizedto deliver measurable scientific and business value. You will translate complex processes into an outcome-driven product backlog that accelerates experimentation, enables knowledgereuse, and supports data-driven decision-making across research and development teams.
WhatYou’llDo
Define the product roadmap, aligning digital R&D capabilities to new product developmentstrategy, businessobjectives, and measurable innovation outcomes.
Own backlog prioritization and drive product decisions in partnership with key research and development stakeholders, ensuring alignment on capabilities, features, and requirements.
Translate complex workflows into actionable product capabilities, epics, and user stories with outcome-driven acceptance criteria.
Define and track product value metrics, ensuring each increment delivers measurable impact (for example: cycle time reduction, data quality improvements, knowledge reuse).
Guidedevelopment of data- and artificial intelligence-enabled capabilities across the innovation lifecycle, from early research through scale-up and manufacturing learning loops.
Lead product execution in agile delivery environments (including scaled agile models), working closely with architecture and delivery leaders to manage dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs.
Strengthen product practices by mentoring others and promoting consistent product management ways of working across the platform ecosystem
What We Seek
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
7+ years of experience in product management, technical product ownership, business systems analysis, or complex digital solution delivery,preferably with dataandAIenabledproducts.
Demonstrated success translating complex domain workflows into digital products within research and development, engineering, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, or similarly complex environments.
Strong experience working in agile delivery models, including scaled agile(SAFe)approaches.

Business analysis & problemsolving:ability to create user stories and process flows, define current and future states, performrootcauseanalysis, build business cases, and evaluatereturn on investmentusingdatadrivenapproaches.
Strategic influence & change leadership:ability to connect product decisions to enterpriseobjectives, challenge assumptions, provide objective recommendations, and drive adoption at scale.
Technical product fluency:familiarity with system integration patterns and data flows,comfortvalidatingand interrogating data,understanding ofuser experienceprinciples andusercentereddesign.
Tools: Jira, Confluence, Miro, Smartsheet(or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with digital research anddevelopmentecosystems and laboratory informatics (for example: Laboratory Information Management Systems, Electronic Lab Notebooks, scientific data management systems, instrumentation integration).
Exposure toanalytics, modeling & simulation, and AI/MLenabledworkflows.
Experienceoperatingwithin global, federated organizations with diverse processes and systems.

Compensation: $120,000.00-$160,000.00 a year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
