Job Description

The Lead Technical Architect, Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE), provides enterprise-level technical leadership for the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform solutions. This role is accountable for translating complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures aligned with industry standards and organizational technology strategy. The position partners closely with business and technology stakeholders to ensure customer engagement platforms support operational efficiency, data integrity, and long-term sustainability while enabling continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, design, and technical decision-making for Dynamics 365 CE and related Power Platform solutions.

Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements.

Produce and maintain solution architecture artifacts, including design documentation, diagrams, and technical specifications.

Oversee development, configuration, customization, and integration activities to ensure alignment with approved designs and standards.

Guide and support development teams through code reviews, design reviews, and quality assurance activities.

Manage the end-to-end solution lifecycle, including deployment, optimization, upgrades, and operational support.

Ensure solutions adhere to best practices for security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Provide technical mentorship and knowledge sharing to engineering team members and contribute to continuous capability development.

Collaborate across cross-functional and, where applicable, global teams to ensure alignment with project goals and delivery timelines.

Essential Functions of the Role

Design and deliver Dynamics 365 CE architectures that meet defined business, technical, and operational requirements.

Apply architectural standards and best practices to ensure solution quality, reliability, and compliance.

Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Support problem analysis and resolution for complex system and integration issues.

Work independently while contributing effectively within collaborative, Agile-based delivery environments.

Adapt approaches and priorities in response to evolving business and technical needs.

Education and Work Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Approximately 8–12 years of professional experience in enterprise application design and implementation.

Extensive experience designing, configuring, and delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE solutions.

Demonstrated experience with cloud-based architectures and Microsoft Azure services.

Proven ability to lead technical design activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to support documentation, stakeholder engagement, and technical leadership.

Education and Work Preferences

Advanced degree in a related technical or business discipline.

Microsoft certifications related to Dynamics 365, Power Platform, or Azure.

Experience with Power Platform components, including Model-Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.

Experience with DevOps practices, Agile delivery models, and enterprise system integrations.

Exposure to additional Microsoft business applications or dual-write integration scenarios.
