Job Description

Woodfords' Family Services is looking for a fun, engaging, and compassionate educator to join our Early Childhood Services (ECS) Program as Lead Teacher! This is a full-time (40 hour per week) position located at our preschool on the Pineland campus in New Gloucester, Maine.

Woodfords' ECS Program provides early intervention supports and services to students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a therapeutic and treatment-based environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will be an integral part of leading a team that's responsible for the day-to-day operations and general functioning of the classroom. This role supports ongoing efforts in guiding students toward achieving goals related to cognitive, social, and emotional growth and maturation.

Opportunity Details

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm
• $53,000 with increases based on experience and 282 certification

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree, in special education, early childhood or a related field.
• A minimum of an Educational Technician III, Certificate, 282 Certification from the Maine Department of Education or an agreement to continue education to become 282 certified within one year of employment with Woodfords.
• A minimum of two years’ experience working with preschool-aged children
• Valid driver's license & US work authorization required
