The YMCA is looking for fun, hard working, individuals looking to make an impact in our community. We have multiple positions available, including both before and after school care and after care only at Portland Public School Schools. This position requires availability Monday through Friday and could be full time with hours 6:15-9:00am and 2:00-6:00pm or part time with hours 2:00-6:00pm. Flexible planning time is also available in this position.

Job Responsibilities:
A Lead Teacher will be the onsite leader of the program supervising teachers, aides, and volunteers. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom environment, implementing a fun and engaging curriculum, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and the school community. Work is primarily performed at YMCA Before and After School programs in Portland. At times, staff may be asked to travel outside of Portland to fill in at other childcare sites within the YMCA of Columbia-Willamette Association. There may be times when staff are asked to attend company events outside of their regular schedule. Staff will be notified ahead of time if and when this happens.
