About the role

The candidate will be part of KGS Hyderabad Design team working with cross functional System Engineering performing Systems requirements analysis for Smart Home Solutions involves Hardware, Firmware, Cloud & Mobile applications. An individual must have the ability to analyze the system requirements. The selected candidate must have a background understanding of Firmware, Cloud IoT, Mobile application and devices/system interaction and troubleshooting. The selected candidate will interact frequently with Product Management, Engineering, Safety and Quality teams. Will need to work with customers at global locations across different time-zone.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Systems Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
• Systems Engineering activities within Residential Fire Safety and Security products.
• Work on Embedded IoT products and collaborate with peer/lead engineer to System requirements and design aspects across different design centers
• Work closely with Product management, Engineering and QA teams cross functional team in product development phases for the Quality deliverable
• Learn and apply project high-level and detailed business requirements.

Requirement
• Education: BE/ B.Tech/ M.Tech
• Must have 10+ years relevant experience with system integration experience with embedded products (Firmware or Hardware)
• Requirement Analysis – Translation of requirements defined by product management into system requirements, Requirement Flow down, Impact analysis, Interface definition for IoT products.
• Deep technical knowledge of software methodologies and techniques, preferably with Embedded IoT and connectivity technologies and tools
• Safety and design failure mode effect analysis (FMEA)
• Must have working knowledge on communication standards like Ethernet, RF Sub GHz Technologies, Zigbee and IOT communication protocols (MQTT, AMQP etc.), Socket based communications TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Lora etc.
• Identifies choices and trade-offs involved in designing and implementing a solution and communicates them to the stakeholders
• Proactively implement solutions to resolve issues before they impact the team to keep the development effort focused
• Analysis of systems, concepts, platforms, reuse and architecture.
• Drive platform thinking and ensure a very high degree of reuse from all parts of the global organization, while at the same time staying up to date with new and upcoming technologies.

Preferred
• Certification from INCOSE on System Engineering
• Knowledge on Compliance will be plus.
• Knowledge of micro services, containers will be a plus
