The Lead System Administrator will oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of KC-46 Maintenance Training System (MTS) IT systems and infrastructure. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable systems supporting the KC-46 MTS Training System Support Center (TSSC) and Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) program personnel on all IT related support to maintain virtual training environment requirements. The ideal candidate will lead a team of system administrators, manage projects, and collaborate with stakeholders to align IT services with business needs. This position supports Air Force formal maintenance training through maintenance subject matter expertise and is 100% on-site. Daily and weekly work hours will be managed to meet training mission requirements.
Must be able to pass a background check for Military Installation and Facility Access.
Key Responsibilities
A technical master’s degree with 7-10 years of hands-on related experience in system administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four-year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
