Salary £27,500 (£14.06 per hour) plus 34 days leave (rising to 39) and health cash plan worth over £1140

Temporary (12 months – possibility of extension), Full time (37.5 hpw), Mon-Fri, some occasional weekends

What you’ll do

  • Support planning / risk management to deliver person-centred support. We do not provide personal care. We provide housing related support.

  • Balance support, safeguarding, admin and meetings while guiding colleagues and managing caseloads

  • Support Customers with daily tasks like budgeting, cooking and attending appointments

  • Work with multi-agency teams to safeguard and empower our customers

  • Help customers build independence and prepare for their move-on into the community

You have

  • Passion and experience in supporting others ideally in a supported housing setting

  • Knowledge of substance misuse, mental health, welfare benefits, homelessness

  • Experience assessing referrals and coordinating support

  • The ability to work under your own initiative, remain calm under pressure and have a resilient approach

  • Leicester substance misuse service - Supporting individuals with substance misuse issues, housing related support and mental health. You'll be based at Unity House with the rest of the team but will be working with our floating support customers who live in the community.

The practical bits

  • 37.5 hours managing your own caseload. you’ll mainly work core hours between 9am and 5pm with flexibility built in as this role is dependent on the customers’ needs

  • You need an Enhanced with barring list (we pay)

  • Ideally have a vehicle insured for business use (and a license!), we’ll pay for any business mileage
